Our Approach
The LCRPC’s work with towns falls under three major functions: Technical Assistance, Convening, and Communication. Below are services the LCRPC provides to Lincoln County and its communities.
Technical Assistance
Provide Planning Assistance. This includes comprehensive planning, land use, transportation, strategic planning, economic development, and capital improvement planning. Being a resource guide to municipalities, businesses, nonprofits, and residents.
Provide Tools. Geographic Information Systems (GIS), risk assessment, and contractual services.
Provide Connection. Specifically with state and federal initiatives, regulations, funding opportunities, and legislators.
Convening
Build Knowledge. Assist with the exploration of shared services and regional problem-solving. Increase LCRPC capacity and expertise by leveraging existing organizations.
Build Partnerships. Provide capacity for projects individual municipalities cannot do on their own. Find the right people to network with to meet the needs of a project. Partner with community organizations on educational workshops and programs.
Communication
Outreach. Communicate the services the Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission provides and the complimentary services and opportunities from state and federal sources from LCRPC’s partner organizations.
Inform. Keep the County Commissioners and state agencies updated on LCRPC and municipal priorities.
Educate. Share with select boards and town administration the value LCRPC brings and help them take advantage of LCRPC services.
Track. Measure the impact of LCRPC’s work and report out its value.
Share. Provide information, resources, grant and funding opportunities, etc. to municipalities, businesses, nonprofits, and residents.
